Empty DataFrame playbyplayv2

Hi, when using the PlayByPlayv2 endpoint, I get an empty dataframe when it had worked in the past before.

pbp = playbyplayv2.PlayByPlayV2(game_id="0022100001").play_by_play.get_data_frame()

and version 1.11.2

I have same issue by using playbyplayv2 while playbyplayv3 is okay.

Same issue here. Possible they are fully deprecating v2?

Having the same issue.

PlayByPlayV3 is working, but PlayByPlayV2 was preferable for determining jump ball results. V2 had the player and team ids for both jumpers (player1_id, player2_id) as well as the player ID and team ID of the player who gained possession (player3_id) which could be user to infer which player won the jump ball. PlayByPlayV3 includes only 1 player ID. The description field does contain the last names of both jumpers and the player who gained possession (e.g. "Jump Ball Conley vs. Gordon: Tip to Johnson"), this can be parsed easily enough, but its only reliable if no starters share the same last name.

For assists, they use player_name_I if there are players with same last name. Can you confirm this is not the case for jump balls as well?

edit: @firstbasketguy, any update on your jump ball parsing? Does using the player name + initial field work for determining jump ball results?

It seems likely at this point. Hate it though, as v3 and v2 served two totally different purposes.
