After launching the game, opening the hbmenu results in a blank screen.

When the game is not running, the album can be accessed normally. However, after launching the game, exiting to the system interface and then entering the album (i.e., hbmenu) shows no page display, only a blank screen.

Are you using vanilla AMS?(defaults under /atmosphere/config/ + no sysmodules under /atmosphere/contents/)

Is this because you have FAT32 and Volume Name like "SWITCH"? If yes, then there is a bug in HBMENU which checks only DIRECTORY flag but ignores Volume when listing entires. Attribute byte: 0x28 vs Attribute byte: 0x10
The second one is folder (also appears as second when listing) and the first is your volume (sdcard) which you have named like that.

I've literary wasted 2 days to find out that, so I wrote diagnostic program which helped me out with that. I no more fear setting up cards.

So simply rename your sdcard, live long and prosper.
