History for Items

Hi,

how about having a history for every Item?

Actually I can use the custom fields as long as I name them the same for all itmes. I name them something like "start" and as content I put in a location followed by a date.

Is there any other Idea or chance to save movement of the items from location one to location 2 like a history?
