Make search more obvious

What is the problem you are trying to solve with this feature?

Searching is possibly the most common activity in HomeBox, generally (at least for me) it's the first thing you do before doing anything else but it is a menu option in the sidebar, making it less easily available for such a key feature.

What is the solution you are proposing?

Placing the searchbar up top at all times would be a good investment of space I feel and make it much easier to jump around to different items.
For those that use labels, a scan button could also be placed beside that for quick access - again the goal is to minimize friction from wherever I am to the item/location I want to see.

What alternatives have you considered?

I feel having it everywhere is best, but if that's too space consuming, it could instead just be a small search bar in the sidemenu so that i don't need to click and load another page, or failing that, at the very least having it on the homepage so that it can be gotten to more easily.

concept for a new top bar, also includes moving the qr scanning to a modal that would be opened either via the topbar or search page
(currently this only alters the ui and doesnt add functionality as its a poc)

if we were to add this we would probably add a toggle in settings to enable the legacy topbar

This looks great!
Does the search button to the right need to be a button or can that be assumed to be enter/search on the keyboard?
Would increase the horizontal space available (but if users typically use that button it should obviously stay)
