Assign parent item in item creation modal

What is the problem you are trying to solve with this feature?

Efficient data entry - if you're doing this for hundreds of thousands of items UX roadbumps matter a lot!

What is the solution you are proposing?

My current inventory setup is mostly:

• Items within
• Boxes (parent items) within
• Rooms or an office space (location)

When creating a new item at the creation model, it would save me a lot of time to be able to assign all these data in one go.

However, currently, you can't assign a parent item this way:

Point of friction:

Every time I want to create a new item I need to:

• Firstly create it
• Navigate into the item and assign the parent

Which is a pity because the "add and create another" button would otherwise be very useful and save lots of clicking and time!
