What is the problem you are trying to solve with this feature?

I would like to be able to share what I have in my inventory so my family (beyond immediate) know what I have so we don't duplicate items that we rarely use or expensive. If possible, maybe be able to share with my neighbors as sometimes I need a tools just to get a quick job done.

What is the solution you are proposing?

Multi user support, with roles and privileges to read and/or write. Most items are private by default, unless I want to make it public to different levels, family, friends, neighbors.

When thinking about inventory, I'm reminded of an ecommerce application. Inventory of items, catalog, warehouse location, bin, etc.
