Multiple locations for Items

What is the problem you are trying to solve with this feature?

Hello,

first of all I would like to thank developers for this amazing projects. I would love to contribute by code, but unfortunately GO is not my language of choice. But I've translated missing strings to Polish, so the translation is complete.

I'm currently using Homebox as a Inventory management for my wife products.
It's working great but I've came to one thing that is annoying for me.
I have following location scheme:
Basement -> Room X -> Shelf 1, Shelf 2, Shelf 3 etc

Products are stored in the boxes and boxes are put on shelves. Each product doesn't have a Asset Tag, only whole Box get's one.
Let's say I have 3000pcs of product that goes into 30 boxes, but each shelf can only carry 10 boxes, so now I'm stuck at selecting Shelf 1 in Homebox, but in reality it is on Shelf 1, Shelf 2, Shelf 3.

What is the solution you are proposing?

Add ability to assign multiple locations to Items, so that Item can be at Shelf 1 and Shelf 4 at the same time.

What alternatives have you considered?

I've considered adding each Box as a Location, but product can only have one location.
I've considered adding Box as a Parent Item but product can only have one parent Item.

Split the amount so that you have

1000 pcs in shelf 1
1000 pcs in shelf 2
1000 pcs in shelf 3

So you think that I've should have duplicated Items with the same name and everything but different location?

I agree! I am using homebox to track the location of things and it would be faster to edit the locations in one entry instead of having to open up multiple items.
