Description

OpenTelemetry (OTel) provides a standardized way for telemetry data collection for traces, metrics, and log. In recent years, OTel has become the industry standard for observability instrumentation since it offers vendor neutrality and features such as distributed tracing. Adding OTel tracing to ProxySQL would enable better visibility into ProxySQL's performance and help users to debug issues related to ProxySQL in their infrastructure.
