Description
Hi.
Has anyone been able to compile the VMware Workstation 25H2 modules (VMware-Workstation-Full-25H2-24995812.x86_64.bundle) or another version?
I'm using kernel 6.12.x, compiled manually with build_in_docker.sh. After compilation, I install the headers and then the image.
When installing VMware Workstation, on the first run, the "VMware Kernel Module Updater" screen opens. I select the path to the current kernel headers, and VMware throws the error: "C Header files matching your kernel were not found...". I create the necessary symbolic links to include, build, etc., in the headers folder, but the error persists.
When I run sudo vmware-modconfig --console --install-all, the Header path error persists:
$ sudo vmware-modconfig --console --install-all
Output:
[AppLoader] GLib does not have GSettings support.
(process:14370): GLib-CRITICAL **: 11:32:40.862: g_file_test: assertion 'filename != NULL' failed
Failed to setup build environment: Header path "(null)" is not a valid directory.
Thanks!
