My bad, I'm an idiot. Meant to post this on my fork of the repo. Feel free to delete. Also, might want to mention in ReadMe to edit the Github issue templates. When you create a feature request, it automatically creates it on this repo rather than the fork.

Could also just delete the .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/config.yml file since it has hard-coded links to this repo. That's what caused my confusion. I clicked create issue on my own repository, and then followed the "feature request" link (since I just wanted to write down an idea I had), and it took me to the create discussion page on this repository. Of course, that would mean loosing two little links on the create issue page on Github, but in my opinion that isn't such a big deal.
