<h3>Cracking Open Unconference</h3>
<p>The inaugural Cracking Open Unconference at Carnegie Mellon University will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on <a href="./savethedate.ics" title="download ics file to save the date on your calendar" download>October 16, 2025</a>. The unconference is a full day of in-person participant driven conversations. This event will create a space to bring together members of the library and research communities for timely discussion on the challenges of practicing and supporting open science and potential solutions. This free event is open to library professionals, academic researchers and support staff, and graduate students at any institution.</p>

<h3>OSCLIP In-Person Meeting</h3>
<p>Open Science Collaborative of Library and Information Professionals (<a href="http://osclip.org" target="_blank">OSCLIP</a>) is a group of library and information professionals with a shared interest and passion to advance open science. The in-person meeting will take place on October 17, 2025 to discuss actions we can take together to support our shared goals.</p>
<p>And don't miss the free and virtual <a href="https://cmu-lib.github.io/OSS-2025/" target ="_blank">Open Science Symposium</a> on November 13.</p>
