How to keep some folders of the software installation directory during the upgrade?

Now when I install a new version of the application through the installation package, some folders in the installation directory of the old version application is lost. I hope to keep it. Is there any way?

This is not supposed to happen, can you open a bug report instead? Please also include the output of tauri info there and a bit more info about: Which bundle types you tested, how and where you created these folders, and whether you have any non-default updater configurations or installer templates.

Sorry, it was my expression error. The files/folders were not lost. Actually, I wanted some files/folders not to be overwritten when installing the new version of the application. Is there a way to achieve it?

hmm that's tricky. i assume you mean files defined via externalBin or resources ? Maybe this can be done by modifying the template but i'm not familiar enough with nsis for that. I think the best approach right now is to rename the files yourself on the first app start, checking if the destination exists already and then using only the renamed files in your app, ignoring the old location afterwards (except for the copy check)
