Configuration setting or something to make icon fill whole button on android app list?

On a lot of androids, specifically the google pixel series, a lost of apps and especially the ones made by google, have an icon with a white area around it like shown

I know that apps ARE able to have an icon fill the whole circle as a fair few apps do that, but i can't figure out how. After creating the icon for my tauri app with the command cargo tauri icon path/to/image.png it does not fill the whole are like i want it to even though its a circle.
