How can we expand the scope of assets to include Dropbox?

Hey, I am trying to expand the asset protocol to a Dropbox folder located in the library "~/Library/Dropbox". I looked into the asset scope docs [1], but it seems like there is no $Library. If I put double stars "**" it works, I don't feel comfortable giving access to the entire file system.

What is the right way to do it?
