Color for link relations

Hi, it would be nice if the link field could become shown with a color per items, like the single or multi select field. Currently the link field is rendered with a label with a gray background.

I would like to use a link field as I want to keep the possible values as a table, as it's used in many tables, rather than having to create a multi or single select field in each tables.
