Desert trees always generating with a dirt block below, even if they're on sand #302

Yucca and morado trees from the mod always generate with a dirt block below, in a desert... you know... the biome composed entirely of sand.
And so when chopping those tree downs the deserts are left with those spots of a single dirt block, which aren't just ugly, terribly inconsistent, ruin the immersion, but also no way this is intentional.
Not just when generating however, trees grown from saplings also replace the sand block they're on by dirt, and for some reason the sandstone structure on dune biomes that resembles a tree also have a dirt block below, this seems like a way to make dirt renewable, but once again it looks very ugly, doesn't make any sense, and unless trees actually do convert sand to dirt in real life, which i really doubt, i think it would've been done in a way that fits vanilla much better, like converting a cluster of sand below into dirt rather than just one block, kinda like how mega spruce convert dirt into podzol, maybe even having a chance to make one of them rooted dirt
I imagine this could be due to trees generating with a dirt block below and the team didn't take this into account for the ones grown on sand.
This also happens with environmental desert trees from what i tested so far

and by the way why can't morado trees grow on sand if they can generate there? i know they generate as bushes rather than trees, but they are still sprouting there. maybe there could be a mechanic where some trees can grow into bushes, like oak and jungle trees if they grow too close to another tree, or in this case morado on sand
