Should we include bootcamps? #7825
Description
In an effort to be more transparent about what kinds of events are accepted in this project, I recently updated our contribution guidelines with clearer rules under the “Adding Conferences” section.
The rules themselves are not new — we’ve always excluded the following types of events:
- Webinars
- Hackathons
- Marketing events
- Meetups and user groups
- Conferences without talks
That said, bootcamps are a gray area.
We’ve previously accepted some bootcamp-related PRs, but I’m not sure if they align with our goal of curating developer-focused conferences that feature technical talks from multiple speakers and companies.
Should we explicitly exclude bootcamps as well?
