Encrypt individual files mixed into other non-encrypted files? #46

I'm kind of confused - I installed this plugin (without setting "encrypt all" or "encrypt folders") and right click on a file and select "encrypt with key pair". The file on disk then becomes encrypted. But as soon as I make an edit to the file, it's written back to disk in plaintext. Is this the intended behavior? This seems very counterintuitive (and dangerous, because it wasn't obvious it's not longer encrypted).
I can only seem to get things working if I set "encrypt folders" and put all my files-to-encrypt in that folder. But if doing that, what's the point of the right click menu for "encrypt with key pair"? It seems like anything in that folder now gets encrypted automatically.
Happy to provide debugging details if this isn't the expected behavior, but I'm up to date and have pretty innocuous plugins otherwise.
