[FIXED] BUG: n8n v2.2.5 crashes when using Telepilot node

Description

Start n8n version 2.2.5, executing any workflow containing a Telepilot node causes n8n to crash immediately.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install n8n version 2.2.5 (Docker/self-hosted)
2. Create a new workflow and add any Telepilot node
3. Activate or manually execute the workflow

Actual Behavior

n8n crashes with the following message displayed in the UI:

Execution stopped at this node
n8n may have run out of memory while running this execution. More context and tips on how to avoid this in the docs

No additional crash information appears in the logs.

Environment

• n8n: v2.2.5+
• Docker compose setup
• OS: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS (GNU/Linux 6.8.0-90-generic x86_64)

This seems to also happen on n8n 2.3.4 (current latest version).

A fun thing I noticed: if I launch the Telepilot trigger node to listen for new messages, it hangs the n8n (connection lost and all that) right until I actually get / send a message in my Telegram. Then it unhangs and tells me that the workflow has executed successfully (it hasn't). The node shows the same error: "Execution stopped at this node
n8n may have run out of memory while running this execution".

I've monitored my RAM / CPU usage, no change in RAM / CPU used, plenty of free RAM / CPU resources.

• n8n: v2.3.4
• OS: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
• Docker compose setup

Bug continues to be reproduce in versions n8n 2.3.4 (latest) and 2.4.1 (pre-release)

I was able to fix this on n8n 2.4.3 by appling this PR: #44

Option 1: Switch package

You can use the @lesleyxyz/n8n-nodes-telepilot node instead where I merged this PR.
You should export your worflows and replace @telepilotco/n8n-nodes-telepilot to @lesleyxyz/n8n-nodes-telepilot

Option 2: Patch locally

If you prefer not to you can also temporarily apply this fix this way, however n8n might complain about an issue with the package:

# Go in docker container (if applicable)
docker compose exec -it n8n sh

# Go to the npm package directory:
cd .n8n/nodes/node_modules/@telepilotco/n8n-nodes-telepilot/

# Replace faulty package with the origal tdl package:
sed -i 's|@telepilotco/tdl|tdl|g' package.json
sed -i 's|@telepilotco/tdl|tdl|g' dist/nodes/TelePilot/TelePilotNodeConnectionManager.js

# Install new tdl package:
npm install

Finally restart n8n and it will be solved.
I had to relogin afterwards, but no crashes and everything is working

By using the original TDL package, you aren't tracked
