Deprecation Notice: Excludes option.

Dear users,

We would like to inform you that the Excludes option in our package for handling threat exclusions will be deprecated in the upcoming release (v2). Instead, we are introducing a new approach using the Whitelists option, which provides improved clarity, flexibility, and consistency in configuring threat exclusions.

What does this mean for you?

• Starting from version v1.2.*, the Excludes option will be marked as deprecated, and you will receive deprecation warnings whenever it is used.
• We strongly encourage you to migrate to the Whitelists option as soon as possible to avoid any disruptions in future updates.

How to migrate to Whitelists:

• Instead of using Excludes like this:

teler.Options{
    Excludes: []threat.Threat{
        threat.BadIPAddress,
        threat.BadCrawler,
    },
}

Use the Whitelists option with DSL expressions like this:

teler.Options{
    Whitelists: []string{
        `threat in [BadCrawler, BadIPAddress]`, // or
        `threat == BadCrawler || threat == BadIPAddress`,
    },
}
