Jogging anomaly

Hello,

I'm experiencing a problem with jogging, where jog direction and distance are often not as expected.

It seems that jog position commands are ignoring other movements:
Sequence:

• X position jogged to -2.9 (MPos)
• Using MDI, send G0 X-20 and allow movement to complete
• Jog X+ by 0.1, using jog button on UI, and axis moves to -2.8, instead of -19.9

Initially I was using Edge 2.0.46p9, so I changed to 2.0.46, but the issue is the same. Given that I haven't found mention elsewhere of this issue, I'm guessing it's something to do with my setup. I am grateful for any assistance, please (it's caused a few hairy moments, and a few urgent deployments of the E-stop!) - I've put the copied text from the About dialog at the bottom, for information, in case helpful.

There is a bug/bad code in handling jogging when soft limits is enabled, not sure yet how to fix it in a reliable way.
A workaround is to limit jog commands in the controller by setting $40=1.

I tried setting $40=1 in the controller, but the behaviour was the same as described above, in that the jogging commands sent seemed to ignore intervening movements.

I forgot to mention that you have to restart the sender after changing the setting. Did you do that?

I hadn't reset the sender, before; I tried again with the reset, and jogging now behaves properly - thank you!

It's also simultaneously resolved two other jogging issues which I'd forgotten to mention - that previously I could only jog within 2 mm of the travel limits (whereas I can now go to the full extents) and that axes would randomly fail to jog at all - the UI button presses sometimes didn't do anything. As mentioned, these are both fixed by setting $40=1.

One question, please - what does the button in the middle of the X and Y jog buttons do? I've pressed it several times but not worked out what it does, as nothing appears to move.

The middle button is for stopping an ongoing jog.
