Simplest way to put a WAF on Terrakube on AKS

I have a Terrakube installation running well on AKS. I want to put a WAF on it but I'm being hit with hairpin/loopback issues since Terrakube doesn't do intra-cluster comms between components. Has anyone been successful in setting up a WAF on top of Terrakube on AKS?
