txs only tries to connect when starting the AI assistant. (The only other internet connections are update checker (to github), CTAN data retrieval with help doc and potentially language tool (by default local URL but can be set to external targets) |

This is super helpful, thanks! Is there a way to enforce the URL to point to a local/non-existing address to further impede this? Maybe via a configuration file potentially. It isn't really mistrust, it is just the data is sensitive so I'm completely removing the potential for any issues to crop up. |

Save the text as abc.txsprofile
Then options/load profile.. -> this file This overwrite the given config settings, here the AI assistant. |

Hey there,
This may be a silly question, but is there a way to install TeXstudio while disabling the AI component to this?
We are looking at introducing this to an environment that is locked down with no internet connectivity. Is the lack of internet connectivity enough? Going by the documentation, it looks like you need to give it an API key before it functions. Data exfiltration concerns is what I have and I'd prefer to have it disabled.
Cheers!
