Does there need to be a favicon.ico in the WebPlayer app's root directory?

I converted this from an issue because I read up on this recently, and it seems to be an old way of doing things -- soon to be deprecated.

This "fixes" it so there is no error in the JS console (although it doesn't really effect anything):

$('head').append('<link rel="icon" href="https://quest.textadventures.co.uk/Content/favicon.png">');
