The Play Games on Quest website is literally littered with ads

They are like land mines. Eight or more. Some seem to pop up from above or below the screen as you scroll, while others huddle with the proper link to the game. Hard to tell what is an ad and the actual game play button to start the Interactive Fiction game.

This can be avoided with a pop up blocker, but any person interested in a game to try off the website and does not have a pop up blocker, might leave with a very bad experience.

The original maintainer of the site has recently taken back over, and one of the things mentioned was getting that under control.

Yep, I would love to reduce or ideally eliminate the ads entirely.

Right now though, it costs money to run the site, and the ads help towards that cost. A lot of the work I'm doing lately will help to bring the cost down, which means I'll be able to ease off on the ads. I'll also be considering other revenue streams like subscriptions.

An ad here or there is understandable. But can you control any of them? People will click on a Play button, thinking it's for the game. Last I checked there were like three or four Play buttons and a few maps. They mimic the colour of the games play buttons well.
