How do you make an alias for an exit? #1453
-
I am using both the browser and also the PC home version. I am not finding a way to make an alias for an exit leading out with a name of "Hallway" Per the tutorial- [Exits, like every object in Quest, can have an alias, which is simply a way of displaying a particular name to the player. Notice how the two exits we just created have aliases of “south” and “north”. (We could give our exits any alias - it doesn’t have to be a compass direction. If we were setting a game on a ship for example, we might have exits with aliases like “port” and “starboard”.)] But how does one do that? If I click OUT, can I still make an alias? I am fiddling with it and I can make the exit Out and Train yard or just Train yard, because that is the map name. But I can not put "hallway" it seems as an alias. Also, if I click on the alias drop down box, which just asks what exit of direction- N, S IN, Up, etc. I then am stuck on what ever thing I clicked on. I can change it to another direction, but not put it back to blank in case I no longer wanted to use it. It feels like I have to delete the whole exit at that point and start over. Am I missing a step? Thank you. |
