Corrupt File? #1567

Ooh, that sounds terrible! So sorry! =( Option 1You can zip the .aslx file and drop it into a comment here as an attachment, and we can look at it to see if any data can be restored. There's no telling what we'll find, honestly. It just depends where it got cut off when the computer powered off, really. Option 2One thing that comes to mind is Windows settings. I think the default is to save file history. (I always disable this when I get a new Windows OS installed; so, I may be mistaken about it still being the default setting.) Just checked, and I forgot to turn that off on this PC. It is the default. So:
Note On Windows 11, you have to select "Show more options" after right-clicking. EDIT Also, if you have published the game to a .quest file, the data can be retrieved from that to load that version of the game file in the editor, but things are a little sloppy after doing this. |

Perhaps try some free file recovery software? I know it's a long shot. In the future, if you can fix this, I have my game directory set up to be backed up to google drive (you can keep the files local and have a backup in drive). A number of times, this has saved me. Something happens to the game file, I can go to drive and see in versions history the one that was saved yesterday or whatever, I can download that and still have a functional game. Use any back up method you want...it can save you in a pinch |

I think I may have shut off my PC before it finished saving this game I was working on, as now when I go to open it I am met with the error message:
"Failed to load game due to the following errors:
I don't know if this is the proper channel to seek help, but I'm a little desperate.
Please help!
Thanks
