bug: Hyperlink text color in _index.md different from other pages

New to Ananke and Hugo, I may have overlooked something obvious.

Expected Behavior

Link color on content/_index.md page should match other pages

Current Behavior

Hyperlink color on page specified as content/_index.md is the "www default" blue, no hover activity, purple when visited. Links given as standard [link title](https://example)

Adding layout = "single" to the header on the _index.md file corrects the behavior (but of course causes other changes in the page layout)

All configs kept as default.

This is happening both locally with hugo server and on the github pages deployed version

Add your website to reproduce ;) I am pretty sure it's in your CSS somewhere because Ananke has no opinion on link colors and all links should come up unmodified. I can add that, but I would say it's something any website should change away from the defaults by themselves.

Thanks! Entirely possible. Just to be sure I created a repo from scratch using Hugo's instructions:

cd quickstart
git init
git submodule add https://github.com/theNewDynamic/gohugo-theme-ananke.git themes/ananke
echo "theme = 'ananke'" >> hugo.toml

hugo new _index.md
hugo new content testcontent.md

Added hyperlinks to github.com on both _index.md and testcontent.md and am seeing them styled differently.

Here's the repo. I didn't mean to add the public folder but maybe it'll be useful.

Totally plausible I'm doing something wrong, I'm just trying to figure out what that is!

Might have sorted it, at least in this single case. Changing line 2 in layouts/index.html from

<article class="cf ph3 ph5-l pv3 pv4-l f4 tc-l center measure-wide lh-copy {{ $.Param "text_color" | default "mid-gray" }} ">

to

<article class="cf ph3 ph5-l pv3 pv4-l f4 tc-l center measure-wide lh-copy {{ $.Param "text_color" | default "mid-gray" }} nested-links">

seems to have worked?

That sounds about right. I can't find the documentation of Tachyons for nested links (search for nested near the end of the page) and what makes them nested but I think the way they define it might be the way forward for Ananke to set it up in general
