Hi everyone,

The Thingino development team has completed the major script refactor. All systems are now using the new code architecture. During our internal testing, we resolved most critical issues, but as with any significant code overhaul, some bugs may have slipped through.

We invite all users to update to the latest release and help us identify any remaining issues. If you encounter problems, please report them through our issues tracking system with detailed reproduction steps.

For users working in production environments where stability is critical, you still have the option to use the February 20th release until you've had a chance to test the new version in your specific setup, though any requests for assistance will result in us telling you to update, =D

was planning to do some work on a few different ideas to improve daynight. Will the refactoring impact this?

should be good now. as far as daynight. have you seen the C daynight code in the SDK? it's the same one that wyze uses in their icamera binary, should work pretty good.

Switching to thingino was on the long todo list but got moved up when one camera fritzed itself while upgrading the controllers for my indirect lighting system... I'm completely not up to speed as to what is going on with the development and not sure when I'll have any reasonable amount of time. So it's more so things I'm encountering having switched my cameras over.

Thingino's current daynight script bounces day/night every minute at night for my setup, so I have a night where one camera is literally switching between purple and black/white every minute.

The ingenic code has some features that are better.

on wyze firmware, the ingenic code wasn't functioning ideally for my case but that's because I have multiple cameras pointing at the same area and this was making it so that one camera is in starlight mode because of the IR coming from the other camera.

Looks like there's already been some work on it:

Hey @gtxaspec - Should there be a post on the main website thingino? Given that the installation links goes directly to the firmware and someone can install non-stable firmware.
