S97stream-watchdog Usage help

I run thingino on my wyze v3 device. After a few days, the RTSP stream stops working. I am trying to figure out this condition and automatically restart prudynt when this happens.

While researching on that, i happen to see S97stream-watchdog already in the repository and it does exactly what i wanted to do. but for some reason, this is not include in the stock image. I cant see this located in /etc/init.d.

does anyone know how to take advantage of this watch dog script?

it's experimental, thus, not installed by default. will need to take a look at it in the next few days if you don't beat me to it ( to remember if it works)

I will be more than happy to help test this. But I am no unix expert.. so not sure what to do to start this watch dog. Can u provide me some instructions on how to test ? And what to look for on the logs to confirm that it's working as designed.

Same here - I am new to Thingino so not quite sure how to ensure it's started at boot time. Copying to /etc/init.d (and ensuring correct perms) seems to be insufficient.

Also needing that watchdog script. I checked the script and it looks to do what I need. I installed it, and will report in a few days how it goes.
