If anyone's interested, I put together a quick WordPress widget (for self-hosted WP sites) that people can use. Here's the code:

Sure. I'm fine with y'all promoting it however you'd like. I can wrap it up into a stand-alone plugin file for folks to install as well.

I just tested it locally and it works perfectly. I created a zip of the widget directory, and added the plugin header (with your name, website, version, etc.). Are there any other things you would do to bundle it?

That should be it. I've actually done the same and submitted it to the WordPress plugin repository. I can also put it into a GitHub repo and point people there.

It might be cool to create a Plugin Home Page on wordpress.com too, we could help out with design assets and copy etc.

keep in mind it's wordpress.org, not .com (the .org is the self-hosted that you can control plugins, etc). I can update the readme file with whatever info you'd like (links for support, etc).

Hey! This is so awesome, we're loving it -- thanks for contributing this to the community.

One small request: could we supply you with an updated image for http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/thisismyjam-widget/? As our API is still in beta, we haven't got much in the way of design assets for you to use yet. When we fully launch and have this though, we'll be asking developers to run any branding past us just so we can help make sure everything complies with our brand guidelines.

We've got a few small suggestions for the copy as well, if you're cool with us sending that across too?

Sorry we don't have any guidelines on stuff like logos and copy yet, we're creating them as we discover what developers with access to the beta API need, and will be adding them to the API docs soon.

oh, by all means, any copy / design changes I'm all for. I write code, not art :)

A banner needs to be 772px by 250px (either jpg or png) and the gray name overlay on the bottom left is inserted by WP, so keep in mind anything in that space will be covered up.

you can email me andrew@andrewnorcross with whatever changes you have and I'll incorporate them ASAP.
