parameter to change image of following dot?

lovely mouse pointer effects!
I was wondering if it's possible to have a parameter that changes the image of the following dot effect?
I wanted to accomplish something similar to the cat cursor on nekoweb.org, (but simpler) and have a little fish gif follow the cursor around. I suppose the image would always have to be facing the cursor somehow.
In combo with the bubble cursor effect this would look siiick
