In general, Thunderbird does not support or debug addons; that is the developer role. Also, by using the latest release, you are more likely to encounter addon issues, as developers must be continually involved with latest updates. it is routine for users to post that an addon isn't working properly with the latest release. If reliable results from addons is a priority, my personal recommendation is to stick with the ESR release. My opinion - and it's nothing more than that - is that the developer has direct contact with the appropriate persons and could probably work through this issue better. If you believe there is a bug in Thunderbird, you can post it at <a href=""http://bugzilla.mozilla.org"" rel=""nofollow"">bugzilla.mozilla.org.
",davidsk,false,0,0

The XPI file has a manifest.json file which shows ""strict_max_version"": ""145.*"" even though the developer documentation shows compatibility up to 147. I think that puts it in the developer's court.

I even tried to edit the json file to change the number to 147, filed it and re-zipped it up. That didn't work when I tried to install from a local file, as it said it was corrupted. I've given up at this point and restored to the older version 144 of thunderbird.
",itdcmy,false,0,0

Technically it isn't entirely correct to refer to AMO for Thunderbird add-ons, as Thunderbird uses it's own add-on store at <a href=""https://addons.thunderbird.net"" rel=""nofollow"">https://addons.thunderbird.net.

The latest version of the 'Allow HTML Temp' add-on is 10.1.1, and it's marked as compatible up to TB v147. <a href=""https://addons.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/addon/allow-html-temp/"" rel=""nofollow"">https://addons.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/addon/allow-html-temp/

That version works just fine here with TB 146.0.1. Why it doesn't work for you I don't know. Perhaps you disabled automatic add-on updates in Thunderbird?

With the latest version of the add-on you shouldn't need to mess with the max_version option in the manifest.json file. I'd suggest to remove the messed up version of the add-on in your installation of Thunderbird, restart Thunderbird, and then install the latest version via the Thunderbird Add-on Manager. Thunderbird does logon to Yahoo for the account in question and gives me a message that there are no messages to download.
