Regression: MessageList doesn't show "load more messages" anymore

When navigating to a folder you have not downloaded before, there should be a list item "Load up to xxx more" and when clicked should trigger the download of the messages.

I’m affected by this issue as well—since updating to version 12.1, K-9 no longer fetches the Sent folders for my inboxes. I’ve confirmed this across multiple accounts.

– Is there a known workaround for restoring Sent folder visibility or syncing?

The issue you are reporting is unlikely to be related to this one, as the given commit is not present on 12.1. The issue you are facing is likely related to #9567. There is a workaround in the comments to fix the issue until we uplift the fix.
