The n8n container runs as the node user, which has a user ID (UID) of 1000 and group ID (GID) of 1000 in the n8nio/n8n image. For n8n to read and write to /home/node/.n8n (and thus ./data on the host), the node user needs appropriate permissions on the host directory.

Run these commands in the path that you've configured the n8n. According to the video: (/opt/stacks/n8n):

chmod -R 755 ./data
chown -R 1000:1000 ./data

I been trying to set it up using .local wildcard meaning https://n8n.local.example.com, but it doesn't work with traefik or at least for me. I want to keep it within my local network and I don't need webhooks for now, so I don't want to expose it to the internet. Does anyone have this running locally and with traefik?

LGTM. Mine is almost exactly the same. I am not sure how you have traefik configured but if you are using websecure (default) over https (my custom) it would be:

- traefik.http.routers.n8n.entrypoints=websecure

Otherwise I would check the traefik logs to see if there are any hints
