Confusion Between % and &?

Thanks for this! I am a Grafitti user on palm + android forever.

Since my new phone (Moto XT2215-4, A12) I have had troubles with & and % on the grafitti app. i get & for both strokes. 

Was not an issue on many other devices.

 so found this. yay!

but i get similar results here. however, both strokes give %.

any suggestions?
