When pane is in "zoom mode", is it possible not to affect hidden panes when opening sidebar?

I don't know how to handle this 😓
For now, invoking a sidebar brings the pane out of zoom mode. In fact doing a split window brings pane out of the zoom mode so I'm calling this an issue with tmux.
