■2025 10-12 Quarterly Report
The Japanese OSPO Local Meetups are held twice a month. In this quarter, attendance ranged from 9 to 14 participants per meeting. We consistently maintained an attendance of around 10 people, even for meetings that were rescheduled. Ana and the team leaders led a successful session at OSSJ, which attracted a full house.

Ana-san, Owada-san, Suzuki-san, Motai-san and myself had a session in OSSJ. The title is "Ways To Level up OSPO Stages With Knowledge and Strategies With Knowledge and Strategies From Local Meetup Japan". We explained our local meetup activity from history to outcomes from FAQ and Strategy.
Fortunately, the session was at full capacity, and we successfully attracted new members to our local meetup.

Although not strictly a strategy topic, our discussion began with how to convince top-level management. Our consensus was that case studies from other companies are highly effective for this purpose. Therefore, we plan to share OSPO implementation case studies in future meetups. The discussion then shifted to the relationship between industry sectors and OSS activities. We agreed on the importance of highlighting the business context behind OSS activities, with a focus on the SIer, Electronics, and Linux Distribution sectors. In the final meetup of 2025, we discussed the crucial role of OSS in standardization, a topic not yet widely recognized in Japan.

Unfortunately, we were only able to hold two meetings during this period, one of which was dedicated to reviewing the LFJ event. In that meeting, we discussed the presentations given by Owada-san and Suzuki-san. A positive outcome was welcoming several new members from a different industry sector. In the other meeting, we discussed the OSS intake process. Key topics included pre-production OSS license verification and the challenge of scanning tools providing incorrect license information.
