Is that the word?

If I have a simple Box()

struct DGWraped: Shape3D {
    init() {}

    var body: any Geometry3D {
        Box(x: 10, y: 30, z: 500)
            .aligned(at: .center)
    }
}

and then wrap it around a cylinder:

struct DGWraped: Shape3D {
    init() {}

    var body: any Geometry3D {
        Box(x: 10, y: 30, z: 500)
            .aligned(at: .center)
            .wrappedAroundCylinder()
    }
}

or with a diameter:

struct DGWraped: Shape3D {
    init() {}

    var body: any Geometry3D {
        Box(x: 10, y: 30, z: 500)
            .aligned(at: .center)
            .wrappedAroundCylinder(diameter: 240)
    }
}

What I'm trying to get is a sort of squared torus shape, but I''m getting nothing like that at all. Am I misunderstanding what wrappedAroundCylinder() does, and/or is there another way of doing what I'm trying to achieve?

The wrappedAroundCylinder methods wrap the X axis around the Z axis, so perhaps a long X side on the box is closer to what you want?

Box(x: 500, y: 30, z: 10)
    .aligned(at: .center)
    .wrappedAroundCylinder(diameter: 240)

wrappedAroundCylinder is a relatively expensive operation, so if all you want is basically a hollow cylinder, it could be much more efficient to subtract an inner Circle from a larger outer Circle and extrude that. Or, use the convenient Tube type:

Tube(innerDiameter: 240, thickness: 10, height: 30)

Thanks for the very prompt reply!

I actually trying to wrap the highlighted part around to join the bit below in this model:

So if I rotate the part so the long side is the x, wrap it, and then rotate it back to where I want it, that should work. I think.
