Extensions for PyJSX language support

Hi, I was wondering if there are any available extensions for popular editors like VS Code or PyCharm that support the PyJSX syntax and provide features like autocompletion, linting, syntax highlighting.

Would love to see if such integrations exist or if any are planned for the future.

Thanks for creating this interesting project I found it while looking for a JSX like templating engine for python.

Hey! Now that the main library is somewhat stable, IDE support is something I'm planning to work on next. I already have syntax highlighting working in VS Code and I'm planning to release it as a plugin soon.

More long term I'm working on creating an LSP that would delegate anything strictly Python-related to either the ruff LSP (for linting) or pyright (for static type checking) while providing some JSX-specific features as well. Though this will still take a while. Help with any of this would be very welcome :)

Interesting project ! Jinja is a generic template engine, but I know it can be boring. And I had a good experience with JSX / React. Worst is Django template engine...

As far I remember... for Emacs, we can look at Astro support and multi-language support in buffer.

I mean if we could convert the jsx with the JSX type to an object with a compatible type to be used in django templates.

Development in django will be much easier.

Do you have more details about this? What would it take to support on the pyjsx side?

I mean it would be a lot better if we could inject the pyJSX components in django-html templates as a python variable. Not sure if it is possible now.

I don't have any idea currently about what would be needed to support this if it is not yet possible.

I think your example should already work, MainComponent is just a function that returns a JSX instance. Coercing the JSX instance to a string (which I guess django does implicitly) will render its contents. You could also do it explicitly, i.e. str(MainComponent()).

Cool articles! Thank you for writing them :) You could also mention that there's a VS Code plugin now which provides syntax highlighting (when using the import hook with the .px file extension) ;)

A formatter would be nice too! It doesn't have to be as good as black or anything, just anything that will properly indent python and the XML would be great.
