Hello, Thanks for your kind words and for taking the time to write this. I will consider the placement of the buttons. When it comes to closing / exiting WinSize4 with unsaved edits, that is something I have had in mind for a long time. I have started to implement a function to warn when there are unsaved edits, but I never finished it. I hope to find some time to revisit that task again. |

Hello Thomas,
first of all many thanks for a very useful and nice piece of software :-)
I would like to make just some small suggestions concerning the buttons in the last row of the program window:
The meaning of "Apply" and "Apply and Hide" is clear. But "Exit" is confusing as it does not refer to the window of WinSize4 (as the other buttons there do) but to the application as a whole. When clicking it, the user is "thrown out" of the whole program, though possibly he intended to close only its window. So perhaps it would be consequent to remove this button from the last row and transfer its function one row above beside the options "Run at login" and "Pause" because these are the commands that refer to the behaviour of the program as a whole ("Run at login" - "Pause" - "Exit").
The button "Hide" makes the window disappear but it is not clear what happens with some changes I had possibly made: Are they kept or are they discarded?
So perhaps it would be more consequent if the button "Hide" was replaced by another one called "Discard" or "Don't apply" or something similar. So there would be "Apply", "Apply and Hide" and such a third button.
I assume the function of the "Hide" button is anyway the same as a click on the "X" in the upper right corner of the window. So to my mind it is not necessary to have it. In case of clicking on the "X" but having forgotten to decide about applying or not applying a change, perhaps there could be a reminder in form of a pop up window or something like that.
These are the spontaneous ideas of someone who just began to use the app. So please forgive me if I misunderstood something. ;-) Thanks again.
