error something went wrong, uploads are not possible

• uploads are very inconsistent. after trying repeatedly more than thrice there was a successful upload by me
• since 03:00 gmt, it just shows error after couple of minutes !

Between 3:00 UTC and now I see more errors than usual, but the errors look like connection issues I would expect from either an unstable internet connection or if Toolforge (our hosting provider) was having issues.

Looking at the logs for Toolforge at that time it appears that uptime logs for the early morning (and the day before) are missing, which is strange. Toolforge appears to be fine now as I write this reply. Let me know if the issue continues to happen. It's possible this was a transient issue that has resolved itself.

• tried again around 23:55 gmt (30th march) and 02:30 gmt (31st march), same error
• issue seems to be with uploads only

Although I doubt there's much we can do for the unstable connection itself, I think we can make the upload process more resilient than it currently is. I've taken a look at that code and it gives up the moment there is any disruption without trying again.
