sources of lidar data to augment RGB-IR analysis

Literature indicates lidar helps a great deal with road/building classification (and also with obscured footpaths?)

Here are some sources to consider:

I've been using the following services in Maryland mapping. All geographic data is free from license by default in Maryland under the law. http://lidar.salisbury.edu/arcgis/rest/services/ShadedRelief

What changes to the codebase would be necessary to add the ability to add height data? I would love to experiment training with it to see how much improvement we get.

Mostly just setting up the download of some elevation data. Once you packed
it into the training matrices, it would just sort of work without having to
change the analysis meaningfully. It'd be like having a 5th band of data
for the image, and you can already configure the analysis on the command
line to use any combination of R+G+B+IR, so now you'd just be able to do it
for R+G+B+IR+E
