fluentd logs give password in non readable format, whereas username is clearly visible

It is observed that in fluentd logs, password is coming in non readable format ( in xxxxxxxx format ), however user is visible in the logs and can be read. Is it possible to encode or any other approach to make username also non readable. Can the same password approach be followed for user as well?

sample log:
user "abc"
password xxxxxx
