Support newline-delimited json

I would love support for newline-delimited json.
These are variously known as [jsonl](https://jsonlines.org/) or [ndjson](https://github.com/ndjson/ndjson-spec)
https://jsonlines.org/.

Such files arise pretty naturally as output of the [pino logging library](https://github.com/pinojs/pino)
