I tried to connect using a cursor, I used a username, password, and token. After creating and running it seems stuck or it returns a response but it is generic, not related to the environment I wanted to connect to. For example, I asked about a custom object and it didn't recognize it. I would appreciate help but I think it would be difficult without seeing it. Solved by upgrading NodeJs to 22.x and defining "Run as User MY_USER" on the connected app :)

Do you see any errors in Cursor settings?
Does the LLM tell you what's wrong? Mine just straight up told me "I am having trouble authenticating"

How are you generating the token? I was naively just pasting the Access Token from sf org display user. Turns out you have to Reset the Security Token:

• Click your PFP -> Settings
• Reset My Security Token and send it again

Maybe you're making the same mistake I was?

I'm having a similar issue. I sounds like the MCP server does not run. When I run the command

npx -y @tsmztech/mcp-server-salesforce with the env variables set before (using OAuth2_Client_Credentials), I'm getting this message in stdout "Salesforce MCP Server running on stdio" however I can't reach the server with curl http://localhost:8177/mcp/spec I'm getting curl: (7) Failed to connect to localhost port 8177 after 0 ms: Couldn't connect to server

Any idea?
