Questionable results

Hello.

I created a Task Board but I am finding notes in my vault that I think should be in the board but they are not.

Allow me to share the board’s definition (PDF), a screen snippet of the board (PDF), a note that is in the board (md), and a note that I think should be in the board but it is not (md).

Perhaps you can tell me what I am doing wrong.

And it is not just one note. I have a few dozen that fall into this should-be-but-not-in-the-board category.

Well, I hope I have understood your problem here. Based on my current understanding, the reason why you are not able to see the "This is not in the Task Board.md" in your current board is simply because, there is no tag in these task-note which contains the word "#Personal" in it.

For example, in your "This is in the Task Board.md", there is a tag called Personal/Household which contains the word "personal", hence all these tasks which has atleast one tag with the word "personal" in it will show up on your current board. Because you are filtering only the tasks with this criteria as can be seen from the below configuration :

Let me know if I am correct in understanding your setup.

As soon as you add another tag to your "This is not in the Task Board.md" with the word "personal" in it. This task-note should appear inside your board.

Thank you and I owe you an apology. I should have picked up on this myself. So, I apologize for bothering you with this (non)issue.

I am transitioning years and thousands of notes from Evernote to Obsidian which is used for two purposes - personal knowledge management and my form of GTD. One of the advantages Obsidian brings to the table with GTD is tagging individual tasks within a note -- which is unavailable in Evernote where all tasks inherit their tags from the note.

As a result, in converting tasks from Evernote where the note was the task (as opposed to formal Evernote tasks), I need to identify such notes and update them accordingly.

This (non)issue exposes additional work I need to do in my Evernote to Obsidian transition.

Nice to know you workflow as well. Actually Task Board also has the feature where it inherits the note tags for the inline-tasks of that note. Buts its only for the inline-tasks and I am assuming you are trying to convert all your tasks from Evernote to task-notes in Obsidian. Honestly, I am not using task-notes heavily, I am a heavy inline-tasks users, so I dont have any suggestion here, but maybe any TaskNotes plugin user might able to help in this transition work, if the TaskNotes plugin has some batch converting features or something.
