Outdated branches info in docs: How to join the plugin development

This says to start new pull requests from the pluginTesting branch, which is outdated now.
Seeing the last PR, I guess main is now the branch to start from?

cleanupToRelease branch is also mentionned but not existing anymore.

Thank you for bringing this up.

I guess, I should now really start updating the docs, since I am also referring it in the plugin setting. And also after watching these so many discrepancies. Ill try to make few corrections in the docs today.

Yeah, you are right, I sometimes miss to follow my own workflow. Right now, the workflow I am following from a long time is, all the latest working code will be present on the "release branch" for the upcoming major version release. For example, for the next upcoming version, 1.9.0, the latest code is on the following branch : release-v1.9.0.

Other than this if contributors wants to know the exact current branch I am working on right now, they can also look at the following resources :

• The "In progress" column under the roadmap kanban board.
• The branch timeline.

I guess, ill add these new workflow in the docs and will update it soon.

This issue has been fixed and some of the other docs pages has also been updated. Will keep working to improve the rest of the docs.
