Code strings can't be hyperlinked with ⌘/Alt-K or menu command

If there's a `code formatted` text in a paragraph, you can't assign a hyperlink to it with a keyboard shortcut or menu command (Format > Hyperlink). It's possible only manually by embracing the text with brackets and inserting the link in parentheses.
