DHT22 connections - maybe a pull-up?

I read the post about the stop or break of DHT22 after a while (how much? Days Weeks? Hours?)

Maybe it is due to a pull-up that is not present on data line?

for example there is a 5k pull-up. All DHT modules have a pull-up on data line.

hi, a few days,
tried pullups, still went tits up
i had to turn off power completly to dht when sleeping to have it working for longer periods of time
so now using both pins on the esp01. it s not really worth it as it s still quite powe hungry
